anyone fading (or just left cold turkey) over a single issue (such as blood, pedophelia, or shunning, for example) who would be willing to return if the borg finally reformed that particular doctrine to your satisfaction?.

I didn't expect many but thought there might be one or two.

Personally, I don't think reform is possible for this organization AT ALL. I think the best one could hope for (but don't hold your breath) would be some sort of big "Plain Truth" style mea culpa, after which a few of the worst doctrines are changed and some of the past mistakes are apologized for. Not long after that it would be more of the same, because the borg is designed to never give up control of the sheeple, regardless of what the doctrine is.

if you paid attention, what they did not say here is very significant.

Perhaps they're hoping to avoid having ANY lifelong Bethelites anymore, other than the GB members. Put a revolving door on the place so that nobody's there long enough to find all the skeletons.

Truth is, we just don't know. All we have are our own perceptions and since observation affects outcome, truth is therefore influenced by our own sensory perception of it.

What is an elder?

i have concluded that elders are people who take it as their right to torture any baptised member of the congregation who will not conform to their standards.. why do i say this?.

basically i think they see anyone who does not live up to their standards as a threat in which they risk exposure to fealings they would rather die than face.

(the irony they pride themselfs in thinking they are in the "truth").

I don't think anything is served by blaming the victims. Most Elders are even greater victims of the WTS than the rank and file are, IMO. Most of them don't know they're teaching lies or even if they somehow have that knowledge, that thought is rejected because of the mind control they're under.

I'm not even sure there aren't GB members who are completely deluded true believers.

It's actually not a bad talk for a GB member. They tend to ramble and talk in circles in my experience. This one has a pretty coherent theme and it sticks to it and makes its point well. I wonder who wrote it for him...

I feel like the recent years' push toward ever more conformity and control is to purposely drive the conscious class to the surface and root them out. They're perfectly willing to lose hundreds or thousands of free thinkers if it means keeping millions of sheeple duped and with no inclination to learn the real truth. They have to know that this stuff is horribly nerve-wracking to anyone still in who is using his/her brain.
